The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) weakened the official hryvnia exchange rate by 36 kopiykas, to UAH 24.55 to the dollar.
The NBU set official exchange rate of the hryvnia to the dollar for October 2 at UAH 2,455.5302 for USD 100 (+35.7828 hryvnias). At the same time, the exchange rate as of October 1 was UAH 2,419.7474 for USD 100.
The interbank foreign exchange market opened with the growth of the dollar. Compared with the closure of the previous session, the sale increased by 18 kopiykas, to UAH 24.56 to the US dollar, the purchase rate to UAH 24.54 to the US dollar. The euro rose by 17 kopiykas to UAH 26.74 to the euro.
Taking into account tenders at the interbank currency market, the National Bank set a reference rate at UAH 24.54 to the US dollar (UAH 24.16 to the dollar as of October 1).
