AFU will receive 2,800 units of weapons by the end of 2019

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) will receive more than 2,800 units of weapons and military equipment by the end of 2019, according to ArmyInform.

Representative of the Department for Military-Technical Policy, Development of Arms and Military Equipment of the Ministry of Defense, Colonel Vladyslav Shostak, has said that another 54,000 pieces of ammunition of different types, more than 800 night vision devices and more than 2,800 units of weapons and military equipment is expected to be supplied to AFU.

“By the end of the current year, it is expected to supply AFU with another 54,000 units of ammunition of different types, more than 800 night vision devices and more than 2,800 weapons and military equipment, out of which are nearly 1,300 missile and artillery weapons, about 80 units of armored vehicles and equipment, more than 100 automotive units, about 80 units of engineering equipment, more than 30 UAV systems and more than 30 communication systems,” the report said.

He also noted that the supplying AFU with air defense radars, electronic warfare systems and complexes, modernized aircraft and helicopters will continue.
