Mastercard, world’s largest international payment system, said that Ukraine entered the top 10 European countries in wearable payments.
It is known that every month Ukrainians make several tens of millions of payments using NFC digital wallets.
The Mastercard explains popularity of new payment methods with their convenience and safety for users, UNIAN reports.
In Europe, the Netherlands is at the forefront when it comes to wearable payments – a third of all wearable transactions in 2019 came from the Netherlands, followed by the United Kingdom and Switzerland.
Globally, most wearable payments were made in Australia, followed by the Netherlands.
According to Mastercard forecasts, by 2020 the wearable technology market will have an estimated value of EUR 30 billion globally.
