Kyiv will allocate UAH 4.2 mln assistance for three animal shelters

Kyiv authorities intend to allocate UAH 4.2 million assistance for animal shelters, which are created and operate on the initiative of the public, the Kyiv City State Administration informs.

The funds are planned to be used for the primary needs of animals in shelters. The corresponding decision was made by the Kyiv City Council.

According to the deputy chairman of the Kyiv City State Administration, Petro Panteleev, the active participants of the program are the Kyiv Society for the Protection of Animals, the Society for the Protection of Animals SOS, and the charitable organization Charitable Fund SIRIUS.

The official noted that the distribution of funds will depend on the number of animals in the shelters. He also invited other shelters and public organizations to cooperate with the city in the implementation of the city program.
