President Volodymyr Zelensky has signed a law amending certain laws of Ukraine regarding the provision of free meals for internally displaced children.
According to the website of the Verkhovna Rada, the document was returned to parliament with the signature of the president today, February 18.
The adopted amendments to the law on preschool education regarding the provision of baby food for infants and children of the second year of life who are part of low-income families, infants and young children affected by the Chernobyl disaster, having the status of a child affected in as a result of hostilities and armed conflicts, or from among internally displaced persons.
Thus, internally displaced children or children who suffered as a result of hostilities and armed conflicts, and study in general educational institutions, regardless of their subordination, type and form of ownership, are provided with free meals.
The law comes into force three months from the date of its publication.
