Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmygal has said that, as for now, there is no need to introduce a state of emergency in Ukraine in order to counter the spread of coronavirus. He announced this in the air of the program “Freedom of Speech”.

According to the head of government, the spread of coronavirus in Ukraine is quite moderate, so there is no need to introduce state of emergency.

Shmygal noted that the state of emergency was introduced in certain regions where the cases of coronavirus were recorded.

“These measures are enough to effectively manage the situation in the regions where the disease was recorded, as well as in the whole country. This week, it does not look like there is such a need to introduce a state of emergency in Ukraine,” Shmygal said.

Health Minister Yemets: Emergency mode in entire Ukraine should have been introducted since the very beginning.
