The Chief State Sanitary Doctor of Ukraine Viktor Liashko during the briefing hold on May 18, said that specialists from the Institute of Epidemiology and Infectious Diseases of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine confirmed that Ukrainian made COVID-19 PCR tests work well and meet all necessary requirements.
“The Institute of Epidemiology and Infectious Diseases of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine compared Ukrainian tests with European ones and confirmed that the tests work,” Liashko said.
According to him, tests are undergoing checks by the State Service for Medicines, but it can already be argued that the test systems that were transported to the regions are valid.
He also added that they will continue to examine each specific laboratory and look for reasons if some tests were not verified.
