The Ukrainian military transport turbojet An-178 is proposed to replace outdated aircraft like the Antonov An-12, An-26 and An-32.
Antonov Company set to assembly An-178 aircraft fuselage, commissioned by the Ministry of the Interior of Peru. This was reported by the press service of the state enterprise.
“The other day, the fuselage nose part was installed in the building berth, where floor, frames and side skirts of the cargo compartment were previously placed,” the message reads.
The production of the central part of the wing, its left and right cantilever parts and tail unit has also been completed.
The aircraft can carry up to 100 personnel, 80 passengers, deliver up to 18 tons of cargo and evacuate 40 patients on a stretcher.
