On May 27, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry hosted a ceremony of receiving humanitarian aid from Bulgaria – protective equipment for Ukrainian health workers.

Medical protective equipment was received by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Vasyl Bodnar, Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to Ukraine Kostadin Kodzhabashev and other representatives of the Ukrainian and Bulgarian sides. This was reported by the press service of the Foreign Ministry.

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs thanked the Bulgarian side for the assistance provided and noted that Bulgaria remains a reliable partner of Ukraine. The provision of humanitarian assistance to Ukraine to combat coronavirus once again emphasizes this.

“Vasyl Bodnar said that during this difficult time, Ukraine is grateful to the leadership and people of Bulgaria for the friendly assistance,” the statement reads.
