The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted draft order on allocation of humanitarian aid to the Lebanese Republic at an extraordinary meeting held on August 17, Uryadovy portal reports.
“Pursuant to the decree of the President of Ukraine of August 14, 2020, the Government ordered to allocate UAH 8.4 million from the reserve fund of the State Budget to the Ministry of Internal Affairs to provide humanitarian assistance to the victims of the explosion in Beirut,” the statement reads.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs, together with the State Emergency Service and the National Guard, must ensure the purchase, shipping, delivery and transfer of humanitarian aid in the form of medicines, medical products and wheat flour.
