Ukraine has sent five tons of food and medication to Lebanon.

Ukraine has sent humanitarian aid to the blast-hit Lebanese capital Beirut, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.

“On World Humanitarian Day, Deputy Foreign Minister Dmytro Senik took part in the ceremony of sending Ukrainian medication and food to Beirut, which suffered from the explosion of August 4. In the near future, the cargo, accompanied by the State Emergencies Service of Ukraine staff, will be delivered to the Lebanese capital,” the message reads.

The State Emergencies Service clarifies the total weight of the humanitarian cargo is 4.75 tons. The cargo consists of 23 types of medical products (antihemorrhagic and antithrombotic drugs, agents for general anesthesia, bandages, surgical patches). It also includes 800 kg of flour.
