Defense Ministry adopts for service Neptune coastal missile system

According to the press service of the department, the Defense Minister Andriy Taran has signed a decree on the adoption for military service the Neptune anti-ship missile system.

An anti-ship cruise missile ‘Neptune’ was developed by Luch design bureau. The missile is being developed for use from airborne, shipborne, and land-based platforms. The missile is designed to destroy ships of up to 5,000 tonnes displacement; the non-warhead weight is 150 kg, its speed is 900 km / h, and the flight range is 280 kilometers.
