On September 29, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, in the first reading, supported a bill banning the sale of electronic cigarettes to Ukrainians under the age of 18. The bill was backed by 272 votes.
Thus, e-cigarettes will be equated to regular tobacco products.
For violation of the trade rules of tobacco products, electronic cigarettes and liquids used in them, beer, alcoholic, low-alcohol drinks, it is proposed to impose fine from UAH 6,800 to UAH 13,600.
For a repeated violation, the fines will increase from UAH 13,600 up to UAH 23,800. Also, the products will be confiscated.
