Chernobyl Reserve included in WDPA database

The Chernobyl Radiation and Ecological Biosphere Reserve was included in the World Database on Protected Area (WDPA). From now on, WDPA will provide information about the Chernobyl Reserve. This was reported by the Chernobyl Reserve on Facebook.

Many platforms include WDPA to provide integrated information to a variety of users, including businesses and governments in various fields. In fact, The World Database on Protected Area is the most complete database on land and marine protected areas. It is a joint project between the United Nations Environment Program and the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).
