January 20, Ukraine reported 5,583 coronavirus cases, according to the Minister of Health on Facebook.
Among the new cases, 173 children and 229 health workers. Most infections were detected in Kyiv city (595), Zaporizhzhia (358), Lviv (337), Kharkiv (302) and Dnipropetrivsk (295) regions. Some 1,811 people were hospitalized.
In total, 41,597 tests for coronavirus were carried out yesterday. Of these, 24,504 by PCR, 17,093 by ELISA.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 1,177,621 people have been infected in the country, 914,730 have recovered, and 21,499 have died.
