The Director of the Consular Service Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Serhiy Pogoreltsev said that in 2018, 11,000 foreigners have been issued with electronic visas to enter Ukraine. This service is in greatest demand among the citizens of China, Ukrinform reports.
“From April 4, 2018, electronic visas were introduced for citizens of 44 countries, and by the end of last year, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs had issued about 6,000 electronic visas. Since January 1, e-visas have already been introduced to citizens of 52 countries and the list of grounds for their registration has been expanded. During the first quarter of this year, we issued almost 5,000 electronic visas,” said Pogoreltsev.
Pogoreltsev also added that the e-Visas service for entry into Ukraine is in highest demand among Chinese citizens, who make up 60% of the total number of requests. Among the active users of this service are citizens of Australia, Saudi Arabia and Mexico.
