About 127,000 people registered as unemployed in Ukraine since quarantine started

ПAccording to the State Employment Service of Ukraine, 127,000 people were registered as unemployed since March 12, 2020. This was reported by the press service of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights.

Every second unemployed was dismissed by parties’ settlement agreement, 13% – people who have not worked for various reasons for more than 1 year, 11% – dismissed due to the expiration of the contract, 11% – dismissed of their own free will, 7% – dismissed due to changes in the organization of production and labor, the rest are not employed for other reasons.

Since March 12, 2020, the number of employed people reached 46,000 people.

“As of April 27, 2020, the number of unemployed registered with the State Employment Service amounted to 431,900 people, which is almost 119,000 (or 38%) more than last year,” the statement reads.
