The Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmygal during the hour of questions to the government in the Verkhovna Rada said that since the quarantine was introduced, the number of unemployed persons has increased by 197,000 people – up to 486,000 people.
“Since March 12, the number of officially registered unemployed persons has reached 197,000. The total number of persons who received unemployed status as of May 12 is 486,764,” the head of government said, adding that this figure is growing weekly.
The Prime Minister also emphasized that the construction of infrastructure facilities in the country will create new jobs.
