According to the electronic population census, 3.7 million people live in Kyiv, which is 10% of the total population of Ukraine. This was announced by the Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers Dmytro Dubilet during the presentation of the census results.
“Some 3.7 million people reside in the city of Kyiv. It impressed me, by the by, ‘cause I thought the total figure would be under,” Dubilet said.
Kyiv has become the most populated city in Ukraine. At the same time, about 2.3 million people live in the Kyiv Oblast.
At the same time, the population of Ukraine amounted to about 37,289,000 people. According to Dubilet, this figure does not include people permanently residing abroad and in the temporary occupied territories.
