Health Minister of Ukraine Maksym Stepaniv at the briefing held on April 17 said that 879 health workers in Ukraine have already become infected with the coronavirus.
Stepaniv noted that 91 doctors fell ill with coronavirus over the past day, 12 of them were hospitalized.
Some 19 medical workers recovered in the last day.
The head of the Ministry of Health noted that due to the increase in the number of infected health workers, it is planned to test all doctors working with COVID-19 patients, regularly.
“The algorithm for testing health workers is no different from the algorithm for testing everyone else. After the signs and symptoms of coronavirus disease appear, namely, fever, dry cough, etc., doctors will be tested for coronavirus,” the minister said.
