SE Antonov to resume production of heavy cargo aircraft An-124 ‘Ruslan’

Ukrainian state-owned enterprise Antonov intends to resume the production of heavy Antonov An-124 Ruslan heavy transport aircraft. According to CTS, the assembly of the first aircraft can start before the end of this year.

“We are actively cooperating in this direction with several international companies-manufacturing aircraft equipment. We are already at the final stage of completing processing of the entire electronic component for this transport aircraft. And we hope that it will be finally adopted by the Engineering Center of Antonov Design Bureau to start assembling the first aircraft this year,” the first deputy general director of the Ukroboronprom concern, Serhiy Omelchenko, said this at one of the TV channels.

It was emphasized that the assembling will be carried out without the use of Russian components.
