Army Aviation brigades of the Land Forces and Navy of Ukraine held large-scale drills in Rivne Oblast

Military personnel with the use of helicopters of various types carry out training and combat missions for the landing of troops, evacuation, flights with combat use of missile and artillery and cannon armament from an extremely small height in daytime and night conditions, the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine informs.

The source reports that the servicemen are practicing the skills of piloting helicopters equipped with night vision devices, which allows them to fly and fire at night at a record low altitude, and in a real combat situation, close in, destroy targets and safely return to the base.

“For the first time since the independence of Ukraine, we are training as part of 16 helicopters that will perform tasks as part of a squadron at night. This is another proof that army aviation is capable of performing combat missions in difficult conditions,” said Major-General Ihor Yaremenko, head of the Army Aviation Command of UkraineArmy’s Ground Forces.
