Residents of 251 settlements across Ukraine experienced blackout after worsening weather conditions. This was reported by the press service of the State Emergency Service (SES) of Ukraine.
“On February 24, some 251 settlements in 7 oblasts of Ukraine reported power cuts after the power line safety system had been activated amid the bad weather,” the statement said.
In particular, the electricity supply was disrupted in 70 towns and villages in Lviv Oblast, in Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast (69 settlements), in Ternopil Oblast (65), in Volyn Oblast (23), in Chernivtsi Oblast (12), in Zhytomyr Oblast (11), and Rivne Oblast (1).
Oblasts energy distribution companies (Oblenergo) deployed their repair teamsto tackle blackouts.
