The lawyer of Edem Bekirov, Oleksii Laden, has handed an appeal to the office of the Russian ombudsperson Tatiana Moskalkova, asking her to apply for the transfer of a Crimean Tatar activist, who is seriously ill, under the house arrest. The lawyer wrote about this on his Facebook page.
“Today, the representative of defense filed an appeal to the office of the ombudsperson, in which he asks to confirm Tatiana Moskalkova’s position voiced [on July 15 during a press conference in Kiev – ed.] and send to the Central District Court of Simferopol a petition to change the preventive measure against Edem Bekirov from guarding for house arrest,” Laden wrote.
The lawyer also asks Moskalkova to provide his client with independent medical specialists in the field of all the diseases Bekirov has, because similar agreements were reached between Denysova and Moskalkova during their meeting in Kyiv.
Laden is counting on assistance of the Ukrainian ombudsperson Liudmyla Denysova, who is now in Moscow.
As The Journalist reported, Crimean ‘court’ refused to release Bekirov from detention facility.
