Representative of Ukraine in the political subgroup at the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG), Roman Bezsmertnyi, says the parties in Minsk agreed to exchange prisoners at a ratio of 208 to 69, Hromadske reports.
“The most important thing is that an agreement has been reached to begin the procedure for the exchange of prisoners of war, illegally detained, and convicted persons at a ratio of 208 to 69,” Bezsmertnyi said.
He noted that the Ukrainian side was ready to arrange this swap today, and this offer had been supported even by ORDLO representatives, but the representatives of Russia opposed the initiative. In the end, the parties agreed to carry out the procedure of ‘legal cleansing.’
To Bezsmertnyi, these 208 and 69 are persons with different categories of “legal cleansing”.
As The Journalist reported, President Zelensky agrees “all-for-all” exchange process.
