Non-cash and cash subsidy models will function in parallel in the future. This was stated by Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine Andriy Reva.
Since January 1, 2019, cashless subsidies have been started to be paid to households whose subsidies have been awarded since 2019. Such a system involves the transfer of subsidies to special accounts, of which housing and communal services will be paid, and a further payment in cash of all savings after the heating season ends.
At the same time, the planned in March cash payment of subsidies to those citizens, whose subsidy was granted in October last year, provides for the cash payment of the entire amount of the subsidy granted to people to pay for their housing and communal services.
Reva assures that the government prefers non-cash payment of subsidies, since there are serious risks of not receiving funds (in cash) from targeted assistance to the final recipient.
After the end of the heating season, the Ministry of Social Policy will check both options for the provision of subsidies, audit the effectiveness and will decide which option to keep.
“I predict that we will leave both options – non-cash and cash. Those people who received the cash subsidy and will pay faithfully will remain on the cash form, and those who have failed to pay the deadlines or have not paid will be transferred to non-cash form of subsidies after paying the debt,” the minister added.
As The Journalist reported, Ukrainians get 44,000 cars with foreign registration cleared through customs under new rules.
