Militants use Grad systems the second day in a row in Donbas

Over the past 24 hours, on August 16, illegal armed groups opened fire on Ukrainian army positions 30 times, five times using weapons prohibited by Minsk agreements. This is reported by the press center of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) HQ on Facebook.

The militants Opened aimed fire from grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms, and in certain areas the enemy used infantry fighting vehicles. It is also noted that illegal armed formations used BM-21 Grad multiple rocket launchers and 120-mm and 82-mm mortars.
Shelling was carried out on the Ukrainian defenders positions near Krymske, Novozvanivka, Svitlodarsk, Luhanske, Novhorodske, Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, Novotroitske, Hnutove, Lebedynske, Pavlopil, Vodiane and Shyrokyne. Along with this, the militants shelled Svitlodarsk area using Grad systems and 120-mm mortars, and using 82-mm mortars the enemy shelled the settlements of Krymske, Luhanske and Novhorodske.

According to intelligence data, two enemy soldiers were injured.
As The Journalist reported previously, during the day militants fired 43 times at the JFO positions: two servicemen were injured.
