On October 21, the illegal armed groups violated the ceasefire regime 19 times, three times using weapons prohibited by the Minsk agreements. Three Ukrainian military were wounded as a result of the combat actions. It is reported by the press center of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) HQ on its official Facebook page.
The militants opened aimed fire using 120-mm and 82-mm mortars, grenade launchers of various systems, heavy machine guns and small arms.
The Russian occupation troops shelled JFO positions near the settlements of Schastia, Krymske, Popasna, Shumy, Pisky, Maryinka, Taramchuk, Krasnohorivka, Pavlopil, Vodyane, Hnutove, Lebedynske and Shyrokyne.
«A fortified position of our troops near Vodiane (Mariupol direction) came under fire from 120mm mortars, grenade launchers and small arms. The JFO positions near Krymske and Shyrokyne were attacked with the use of 82-mm mortars, and the defenders of Schastia came under sniper fire,» the message says.
According to intelligence data, eight occupiers were killed over the day and two others were injured.
As The Journalist reported, militants shelled JFO positions 19 times over the past day. Two Ukrainian soldiers killed, another one was wounded.
