Over the past day, on August 19, illegal armed groups launched 20 attacks on Ukrainian positions in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area, with no use of heavy weapons. This is reported by the press center of the Joint Forces Operation HQ on Facebook.
«The Russian occupation forces opened aimed fire from grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms, and in certain areas the enemy used infantry fighting vehicles,» – the report said.
The enemy fire was carried out at Ukrainian army positions near the settlements of Krymske, Katerynivka, Luhanske, Pivdenne, Zalizne, Zaitseve, Novoselivka Druha, Hnutove, Pavlopil, Lebedynske, Vodiane and Shyrokyne.
According to Ukrainian intelligence data, two militants were injured. No casualties among the Ukrainian troops have been reported over the past day.
As The Journalist reported earlier, militants shelled JFO positions 43 times during the day.
