In the past day, May 24, illegal armed groups opened fire on Ukrainian Armed Forces positions 36 times, – the press center of Ukraine’s Joint Forces Operation (JFO) reported on Facebook.
The occupiers violated the ceasefire regime in the Donetsk region, using mortars near the villages of Luhanske, Zaitseve, Novoluhanske, Hranitne, Novosyolovka Novoselivka, Chermalyk, Stara Mikolayivka, Toretsk and Bohdanivka.
«Militants continue to violate the norms of the International Humanitarian Law. Yesterday morning, they shelled the town of Toretsk, using 152mm artillery systems and 120mm mortars. At 04:45 Kyiv time, the enemy started firing 152mm artillery systems at the village of Stara Mykolaivka from residential quarters of the town of Horlivka.
Ukrainian servicemens eliminated four militants, while five others were wounded. Ukrainian army sustained no losses over past day.
As «The Journalist» earlier reported, authorities of Kyiv banned fireworks during the JFO in Donbas.
