More than 16.8 million Ukrainians signed a declaration with a primary care physician. Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman announced this at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, 112.ua news agency reports.
«We are now beginning to completely change the system of primary care. And what we see today is that 16.8 million citizens have already concluded their direct contracts with their doctors. You will see that in six months the situation on the primary link will become much better than it is today,» – the message says.
In addition, the Prime Minister noted that already more than 25 million Ukrainians have received recipes for free medicines.
«The fact that several years ago we introduced the «Available medicines» program demonstrates its necessity; today more than 25 million Ukrainian citizens already received prescriptions for free medicines for chronic diseases,» – Groysman said.
As The Journalist reported earlier, Groysman said result of the introduction of medical reform will be seen in 2-3 years.
