The tax wedge for the average single worker will amount to UAH 97,043 in 2021, which is 18.6% more than in 2020, according to the public organization CASE Ukraine.
The total amount of taxes that the average worker will pay in 2021 will be distributed as follows:
– UAH 43,743 will go to the pension fund;
– UAH 10,858 will go to education sector (schools, kindergartens, higher educational institutions);
– UAH 7,862 will go for various measures to support the economy;
– UAH 6,913 will be spent on medicine;
– UAH 5,972 will go for the maintenance of law enforcement agencies;
– UAH 5,904 will be used to pay interest on government borrowings;
– UAH 4,938 will go to finance the social protection system;
– UAH 4,302 will go to finance the Armed Forces;
– UAH 3,517 will go for the maintenance of the bureaucratic apparatus;
– UAH 1,548 will go to finance culture and sports;
– UAH 1,023 will go to support public utilities;
– UAH 463 will go for environmental protection.
