The most active movement of Ukrainians (in the framework of a visa-free regime) is observed at checkpoints on the border with Poland (694,000 crossings), as well as through aviation check points (674,000 crossings).

According to the State Border Service of Ukraine, the Hungarian (248,000), Romanian (236,000) and Slovak (142,000) sections of the border remain active.

“The analysis shows that the citizens of Ukraine more boldly enjoy the benefits of visa-free, especially in terms of the expiration of the visas issued earlier. And if in December 2017, 36,000 Ukrainians-visa-free visits were recorded, then in December 2018 their number increase up to 152,000, UNIAN reports.

It is noted that the first million Ukrainians crossed the borders with the EU countries by visa-free in almost 13 months and the second million – within five months.

State Border Service noted that since the beginning of the introduction of visa-free travel, from June 11, 2017, the citizens of Ukraine have made 33 million visits to EU countries.

“In addition, the predictions about the mass non-admission of Ukrainians across the border were not justified. The main reasons for which European border guards deny enter remain non-confirmation of the purpose of the trip, insufficient financial support and exceeding the length of stay,”

As The Journalist reported, two million Ukrainians use visa-free regime to travel to EU.
