Ukrainian weightlifter Dmytro Chumak became the winner of the British International Open tournament in the weight category up to 109 kilograms, as xsport.ua reports.
The competitions in Coventry have the IWF status and are qualifying for the Olympic Games-2020.
The Ukrainian started in a snatch with 165 kg, then took 170 kg, but failed to successfully complete the third approach of 175 kg.
However, the best result of rivals in this exercise was 160 kg.
Then Chumak in the first attempt took 200 kg in a jerk, after which he subdued the weight to 210 kg, but the third attempt on 215 kg was unsuccessful.
The best result of rivals was 200 kg.
Thus, with the sum of 380 kilograms, the Ukrainian weight-lifter won the all-around gold.
