On August 19, Chief of the General Staff — Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant-General Ruslan Khomchak has introduced to the personnel of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine the newly appointed commander, Lieutenant General Oleksandr Sirsky. This was reported by the press service of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces.
Khomchak expressed his hope that the personnel of the Ground Forces, headed by Oleksandr Sirsky, will continue to carry out the most important task of protecting independence and territorial integrity at the highest level.
The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine thanked Colonel General Serhiy Popko for the work done and said that he is now considering to be appointed as a senior position in the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
