Premiere of documentary “Crimea. Surrounded by betrayal ”was held in Kyiv in Crimean House on March 16. The author of the film, war correspondent Viktor Grom, gathered documentary footage of the struggle of the thirty-sixth brigade of coastal defense during the occupation of the peninsula in 2014.

The author of the movie was one of the last to leave a blocked military unit in the village of Perevalne, where the brigade was located at that time. There, Viktor Grom filmed unique footage of the capture and blocking of parts by the so-called “green men”, as well as the faces of those who betrayed and those who remained loyal to the oath.
The film also includes interviews of eyewitnesses and direct participants of those events, Ukrainian military.
Unique shots of the struggle show that the Crimea was not really given away without a fight.
Viktor Grom has captured everything – armed Russian invaders, defense of military unit, which was under siege, traitors and support from Crimean Tatars.
Soon the film will be shown in other cities of Ukraine.
