Demand for used cars sharply increased in Ukraine

In total, 35,900 used cars were imported to Ukraine in September, which is 56% more than a year earlier and 9% more than previous month, the Association of Automobile Manufacturers of Ukraine reports.

The number of registrations of new passenger cars in September amounted to 7,600 units. As a result, the cleared used cars covered more than 82% of the primary passenger car market.

The most popular brands among customs cleared used cars are:

1. Volkswagen – 6,100 cars per month.
2. Ford – 3,300 cars
3. Renault – 3,100 cars
4. Skoda – slightly over 3,000 cars.
5. Opel – 2,100 cars

In just three quarters of 2020, 242,300 used cars were registered in Ukrainian, which is four times more than the number of new cars sold in the country during the same period.
