DSG prevented 11 assassination attempts on Ukrainian president

Department of the State Guard (DSG) has prevented 11 assassination attempts on the current Ukrainian president, Petro Poroshenko, in 2018, UA: Ukrainian Radio reports, citing the head of the DSG, Valeriy Geletey.

"In 2018, about 11 attempts were made only on the president of our state," he said in a statement.

Geletey noted that the DSG staff closely cooperated with the Security Service of Ukraine, with antiterrorist units, the police units, as well as with the intelligence agencies in the process of preparing for any events involving a large number of people.
