The Director of the Institute for the Ukrainian Language, professor Pavlo Hrytsenko has called on President Volodymyr Zelensky and government representatives to sit down at a round table and listen to each other, Glavkom reports.

Hrytsenko insists that the Ukrainian language to unite everyone, it should be mastered and the proper conditions for its study should be provided.

“In fact, you are wasting plenty of time on imitation, instead of spend it on science and clearly define these paths, how to achieve Ukrainian-speaking Ukraine, Ukrainian-speaking environment,” noted Hrytsenko.

According to the scientist, it is necessary to create prerequisites so that children of different nationalities will be attracted to the Ukrainian-speaking environment. Hrytsenko notes that “there will be no language problem in Ukraine in the near future” if the president, government and scientists will meet and discuss current issues, draw up a clear plan of action and stick to it.

“Thus, in 5-7 years we will change Ukraine in terms of cultural, linguistic and mental beyond recognition,” the director of the Institute for the Ukrainian Language said.
