Disney Studio began work on the film version of the 1996 animated film “The Hunchback of Notre Dame”, based on Victor Hugo’s novel “Notre Dame de Paris”. About this informs Deadline.
As it became known, Disney Corporation invited David Henry Hwan, a Tony laureate winner, as a script writer. It is also known that the composers of the film will be Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz, who wrote the music for the original cartoon.
It is noted that the producer of the project should be actor Josh Gad. According to some information, Gad can play the role of the hunchback Quasimodo, but the studio has not yet officially cast.
