Doctors of philosophy will be able to defend themselves in one-time academic councils

Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine plans to introduce as an experiment scientific attestation of PhDs through the protection of their dissertations in one-time scientific councils. This reports Liliya Hrynevych.

In the near future, they will be able to defend a PhD on new PhD programs in one-time academic councils consisting of five people.
The qualifications and scope of the scientific activities of the members of such councils should be consistent with the subject of the dissertation research of the recipient of a Ph.D. This is sure to be checked by the MES when it approves the composition of such an academic council.
