The Cabinet of Ministers decided to pay noncash wages to civil servants. This was announced by Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers Dmytro Dubilet on Facebook:
“Yesterday we adopted a resolution on transferring all payments to government bodies’ employees in noncash form. This is not only a matter of saving public funds, but also of an elementary financial culture. We won’t be able to build any cashless until we start with ourselves.”
To Dubilet, central authorities and regional state administrations spent annually UAH 60 million on bank commissions because they pay salaries in cash.
About 7% of civil servants in Ukraine receive salary in cash.
As The Journalist reported, Gov’t may liquidate Voice of Ukraine and Uryadovyi Kurier print media outlets.
