Ukraine temporarily closes two checkpoints on administrative border with Russian-occupied

Kalanchak and Chaplynka the entry and exit checkpoints, which are located on the administrative border with the Russian-occupied Crimea, temporarily stop their work due to the toxic chemical emissions from the Titan Plant. The third one, Chonhar checkpoint, is still operating in the regular mode. This is reported by the aide to the Head of the State Border Service of Ukraine Oleh Slobodyan on Facebook.

«With the purpose of preserving the life and health of the staff of the State Border Service workers and citizens living near the administrative border and following through the CPRM, in connection with the dangerous environmental situation at the Titan plant in the temporarily occupied Crimea, a decision was made to temporarily close the Kalanchak and Chaplynka entry and exit checkpoints. Crossing of the administrative border with the temporarily occupied Crimea will be possible only through the Chonhar checkpoint, which operates in normal mode,» – said in a statement.

Recall, in the city of Armyansk (north Crimea), an emission of substances of unknown origin into the atmosphere was detected.
