In January 2021, 503 electric vehicles were registered in Ukraine. This is 21% less than last year, according to the association of car manufacturers Ukrautoprom.
Out of the total number, 470 units are passenger electric vehicles, 33 are commercial ones. At the same time, the share of new cars in the January market was almost 10% – against 6% in 2020.
The most popular passenger car on the electric car market is the Chevrolet Bolt (133 cars), which has overtaken the long-term leader Nissan Leaf (107). Next in the top 5 are representatives of the Tesla brand – Model 3 (35), Model S (25) and Model X (21).
“In the commercial segment, only 2 vehicles were new and both are MAN eTGE models. Renault Kangoo Z.E. remains the most popular vehicle among commercial vehicles powered by battery power sources (26 cars),” the message says.
