Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church Metropolitan of Kyiv and All Ukraine Epiphanius believes that the concept of gender and LGBT people are being imposed on Ukrainian society by the West.
“This is Western propaganda, because in Ukrainian society (the concept of“ gender ”and LGBT – ed.) Is not perceived as normal. In general, we do not perceive as a church those things that are being imposed on us from the West. We are purely based on sacred canons and scripture, where it is clearly stated that if there is a sin, you need to correct, you need to become better, to repent of your sins before God,” Epiphanius said in a commentary to a UNN journalist.
The Primate noted that the church will never accept what is a sin, a normal phenomenon, which should prevail in Ukrainian society.
