According to ERR, English language textbooks in Estonia were feauturing a map of Europe, showing Crimea as part of the territory of the Russian Federation marked green, rather than in yellow as Ukrainian territory.
The error was noticed by representatives of the Ukrainian Congress of Estonia, who sent corresponding letter to the Minister of Education and Research.
The director of Studium Publishing House, which released the textbook in 2018, apologized for the incident. According to him, the map was found as free software on Wikimedia.
The Estonian Ministry of Education and Research offers the publisher to replace wrong pages with the new ones. The reprinting of the textbooks will cost the publisher between EUR 10,000 – 20,000.
