The European Commission and Ukraine have signed EUR 26 million-aid agreement for the development of Ukraine’s agriculture and small farms. It is reported by European Truth.
The agreement was signed by Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Dmytro Kuleba and EU Commissioner for European Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiation Oliver Vargei.
The allocated funds aimed to support land reform by combining the state land cadastre and the state register of rights, reforming institutions and the land use system.
The agreement also provides to fund institutional and sectoral reforms in the field of agriculture and rural development, ensuring access of small farmers to financing through the introduction of grant programs.
