On the eve of May 19, Europe’s Day in Ukraine was celebrated in Odessa.
So, on Dumska Square, in front of City Hall, European Union flag of was solemnly hoisted, the newspaper “Dumska” reports.
The event was attended by the leadership of the city and region, representatives of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, diplomatic missions accredited in Odessa, representatives of the employees of museums and cultural spaces, schoolchildren, citizens and guests of the city.
“Europe is first of all all the values that unite the diversity of nations in the European community. The multinational intercultural Odessa built by Europeans from the very beginning of its existence is an example of harmonious unification of European values. Odessa is Europe, Europe is Odessa,” noted Odessa Mayor Hennadiy Trukhaniv.
As the “Journalist” reported, Ukrainian athletes took part in European Championship for Urban Sports.
