The archive of the Foreign Intelligence Service (FIS) declassified almost 350 documents relating to the activities of UNR and the murder of Symon Petliura. It is reported by the press service of the FIS.
Declassified materials relate to the Ukrainian national liberation struggle and the activities of the republic’s emigration government. They are dated 1919-1936 years. The documents include diplomatic and financial documents, statutes, orders, letters, photographs, documents of the regulatory legal activities of UNR, diplomatic efforts of the UNR government in the international arena, and materials about the then leaders of the Ukrainian state entities.
In addition there are declassified materials relating to the murder of Symon Petliura. The latter was one of the leaders of the national movement in Ukraine. From 1919 to 1920 he was the head of Directorate of UNR and the chief ataman of the troops and fleet. Samuel Schwartzbard killed him in Paris in 1926.
Earlier, the “Journalist” reported that the Chief Prosecutor of Romania would declassify the data on the 1989 revolution.
