The company has delivered 15 TE33A Evolution series diesel locomotives in total. Locomotives will be operated in the three southern directions of the country. This is reported by the media center of Ukrzalyznytsia.
«Seven more General Electric locomotives have arrived to the Chernomorsk port. This morning has started with the unloading of the locomotives from the ship. They, like the eight ones being previously delivered, will go to the Kryukovskiy car-building plant for being finally equipped,» the report says.
The report notes that according to the contract, General Electric will provide 30 diesel locomotives in total.
«The company has already delivered 15 locomotives; the rest, according to the contract, will arrive in the first quarter 2019. We will engage them for transportation in the south part of the country, they will servicing Melitopol, Mykolaiv and Mariupol directions, on the most heavily loaded sections,» said Acting Chairman of the Board of PJSC Ukrzaliznytsia, Yevhen Kravtsov.
As The Journalist reported, Ukrzaliznytsia engine drivers will be trained to drive General Electric locomotives.
